MANUFACTURING MANAGER

Gates Corporation is an industry leading manufacturer of application-specific fluid power and power transmission solutions. The company has facilities around the world serving the automotive, industrial and Oil & Gas sectors. This position is part of the Engineering team, based in Cramlington Global Centre for Hose Manufacturing.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Working full-time from our Cramlington facility, the Manufacturing Manager will be directly responsible for all safe working practices and compliance with all relevant HSE requirements. Working closely with the manufacturing team to follow all internal SOP's, specification, and applicable work instructions. Ensuring also that components are manufactured according to both relevant standards & specific customer specifications that meet relevant industry and certification body standards.
Key responsibilities:
* Create and oversee production schedules to ensure timely delivery for both internal and customer orders.
* Develop and implement a comprehensive training program, mentoring manufacturing staff to maintain high-quality standards and enhance manufacturing efficiency.
* Analyse production data to pinpoint areas for improvement and take corrective actions.
* Work closely with the R&E team to innovate and refine HP hose body manufacturing techniques.
* Track and assess key performance indicators (KPI's) to gauge manufacturing performance, driving improvements. Achieve annual and long-term goals by defining and executing strategic plans and optimizing resource deployment.
ABOUT YOU
Required Experience:
* 5-7 years' proven experience in a dynamic and challenging Industrial manufacturing environment.
Required Skills:
* Skilled in utilising computerized production management systems.
* Proven experience in a related manufacturing setting.
* In-depth understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
* Capable of multitasking and prioritising in a dynamic environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
