These challenges need the bold science we support, but they won't be solved by science alone. We are looking for an Reward Analyst to join our team on a fixed term contract basis. Where in Wellcome will I be working? You will be working in the People Team in Reward and Wellbeing. You will report to the Compensation and Recognition Manager and be an integral team member of this small team. The team are responsible for ensuring that reward and recognition supports the Wellcome culture and that people working at Wellcome feel valued and can thrive. What will I be doing? In this role you will contribute to helping Wellcome achieve its strategic objectives by supporting compensation and recognition projects and regular activities. You will play a part in ensuring that the annual compensation and recognition activities are delivered accurately and to time by providing specialist technical and analytical expertise through performing mostly analytical and data-oriented tasks. As a Reward Analyst, you will: Support the Reward team with all annual reward activities such as pay review and bonus review ensuring compensation proposals are in line with the pay policy and philosophy Maintain and analyse market benchmarking data and be responsible for input into salary surveys and ensuring all inputs are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Conduct internal and external research into pay and recognition provisions. Providing models/costing and trend analysis. Research and gather internal and external salary data providing salary benchmarks and package recommendations to the Reward and People Partner team, in line with the pay policy and philosophy as well as contribute to the job levelling process including job evaluation, communication and maintenance of outcomes. Provide detailed data modelling, analysis and insight to support reward processes and decisions for example to support the gender and ethnicity pay calculations, equal pay audit and other ad hoc project support and support the implementation of a recognition programme for Wellcome and support all recognition processes Seek for continuous improvement in the different compensations and recognition processes and tools, present facts and information to relevant Reward and Wellbeing team members and assist with the preparation of papers, such as People and Remuneration Committee papers, with clear recommendations to enable decisions to be made by stakeholders Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across departments. We are looking for someone with compensation experience, adept at role benchmarking, advanced in Excel and data analysis, capable of building complex pay models, using data to drive decisions, and maintaining HRIS data, demonstrating resilience, adaptability and a strong attention to detail. We are looking for someone who: Has compensation experience with a strong understanding and previous experience of working in Reward, good experience of benchmarking roles.
