We have an exciting position open: Global Senior Marketing Manager, Injectables Division.
The Global Senior Marketing Manager, Injectables (INJ) Division, is responsible for developing and ensuring the successful execution of the global Marketing & Communications strategy for Aptar Pharma’s Injectables Division to support their business strategy and objectives.
This global role is responsible for all Marketing & Communications (MarCom) activities within the Injectables Vial Containment and Pre-Filled Syringe (PFS) business categories and advises and supports a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) as well as the Global Market Development (R&D) team.
In addition, this role also provides marketing support and coordination with Aptar Pharma’s Digital Health (ADH) divisions, Drug Services businesses (Nanopharm, Gateway Analytical), and Noble to deliver differentiated offerings and meaningful value propositions for Injectable customers.
This position also interacts with 4 Regional marketing functions around the world in the adaptation of the global Injectables MarCom strategy to meet their regional needs.
Reporting to the Director of Global Operational Marketing, this position is part of the Business Marketing pillar within Aptar Pharma’s global Operational Marketing team and manages 1-2 direct reports.
Responsibilities include:
* Developing a deep understanding of the Aptar Pharma business, including the Injectables Division Business Categories (markets, competitors, and challenges).
* Support key internal stakeholders within the Injectables Global Market Development (GMD) organization including Business Development, Product Development, and Technical teams, in addition to Sales, the Division President, and Management.
* Close and ongoing collaboration with 4 Injectables Division Business Development Managers to understand and support their Vial Containment and Pre-Filled Syringe (PFS) business categories, portfolio strategies, and ongoing business challenges.
* Develop global Marketing & Communications (MarCom) strategies with the BDMs for the Injectables Division and related Vial Containment and Pre-Filled Syringe (PFS) Business Categories to support their Injectables business strategy.
* Build, lead and ensure the successful delivery of the global annual Marketing & Communications (MarCom) Plan for Injectables to build awareness around Aptar Pharma’s Injectables offering and capabilities, and drive lead generation into the commercial pipeline. This includes leading marketing projects covering the following areas:
o Digital Marketing: Work with the Digital Marketing team to lead the development of SEO-optimized website content, digital marketing campaigns, and webinar events to drive lead generation for Injectable Application Fields.
o External Communications: Work with the External Communications team to identify opportunities for PR and Social Media to support the Injectables business and news. Propose and develop content with internal stakeholders.
* Thought Leadership: Drive the development of a global Thought Leadership plan for Injectables. Contribute to the definition of scientific priorities, evidence-based claims, roadmap, key events list, and identifying opportunities for editorial articles and white papers to promote key Injectables division expertise and business priorities. Work with key stakeholders SMEs and agencies to develop white papers, editorial articles, and other content.
* Advertising: Lead the development and placement of advertising to support thought leadership and business priorities.
* Events: Work with the Events team in the identification, planning, and execution of global & regional Injectables trade shows, conferences, and speaking opportunity events, including sponsorships, key messaging, and graphics development.
* Product Launches: Work with internal stakeholders on new product development and launches, including branding and trademarks, and lead the development and execution of launch plans.
* Marketing Tools Development: Lead the content creation and delivery of Injectables marketing tools to support MarCom plans. Deliverables could include brochures, videos, photos, graphics, sales presentations, etc.
* Competitive Monitoring: Monitor the MarCom activities happening within the Injectables business categories including key competitors, and adapt Marcom Plans and messaging as necessary to remain competitive.
* Sustainability: Identify MarCom opportunities around sustainability within the Injectables business and ensure liaison/coordination within the global Pharma Sustainability MarCom plan.
* Support the inclusion and promotion of Injectable-related Aptar Pharma businesses (Digital Health, Noble, Drug Services) in MarCom plans to support the INJ business strategies and objectives.
* Support the development and delivery of region-oriented marketing & communication initiatives, tools, and events.
* Manage and develop 1-2 direct report(s) to support business needs, deliver the MarCom plans and remain a high-performance team.
* Support the Director of Operational Marketing in the development and execution of the global Pharma Marketing and Communications (MarCom) Plan.
* Align and collaborate with Marketing counterparts for Aptar’s Prescription (RX) and Consumer Healthcare (CHC) divisions in addition to the global Operational Marketing team (Digital Marketing, Events, External Communications) to deliver best-in-class MarCom plans for the Injectables & Pharma businesses.
* Manage external suppliers and agencies to deliver Injectables content and projects.
* Develop, proactively manage & optimize Injectables budgets.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING ON THE JOURNEY
Education:
* Business degree or comparable education in Lifesciences and/or Marketing.
* PhD or advanced scientific degree a plus.
Experience:
* 10 years of professional experience in marketing and communications in the pharma / medical device market or other B2B industries in scientific, project management, management, innovation, marketing, and/or communications capacities.
* Roles could include Strategic, Product or Brand Marketing, Research or Project management roles, Innovation, Digital Marketing or Communications.
* Scientific understanding of the Pharma business is key to role.
* Experience developing and executing marketing strategies, marketing plans, campaigns, and digital marketing projects.
* Experience interfacing with R&D and technical teams.
* Experience working in a multicultural/multinational business unit environment.
* Process and results-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills, able to reprioritize and be effective in a multi-tasking environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) to establish relationships at all levels within this multicultural, international organization.
* Highly motivated, able to act independently, a proactive problem solver.
* Strong analytical and budget management skills to identify opportunities & optimize plans.
* Ability to manage high-level partner relationships.
* IT skills (MS Office), AI tools. Photoshop, video, and other marketing tools are a plus.
* English fluency required, both oral and written; French a plus.
Location:
* Position based in Rueil-Malmaison, France (preferred), or another European country where Aptar has a legal entity i.e. Germany, UK, Spain, Italy.
* Possibility for remote working to be agreed upon based on role and Aptar’s remote working policy.
Travel:
* Regular travel is required to visit manufacturing sites and attend management meetings, key trade shows, and conferences.
