Salary banding: £24,500 to £27,000
Location: covering Swansea, Neath, Port Talbot and Bridgend (On-site).
Contract: Full-time,12-month fixed term contract
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 09:00am to 16:30pm
Mileage: 45p per mile

About the role
As a counsellor, you will be responsible for conducting individual or group counselling sessions, identifying learner needs, and facilitating workshops to promote learning and well-being for all learners.
Jobs Growth Wales Plus (JGW+) is a Welsh Government initiative that provides work experience and training opportunities to young people and unemployed individuals, enhancing their employability and supporting job creation in various sectors.
Your impact
• Adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework, upholding its values and principles.
• Deliver individual and group counselling sessions in person, by phone, or via digital platforms.
• Establish counselling contracts and build trust through active listening and empathy.
• Support clients impartially in understanding their concerns and making informed decisions.
• Collaborate with external organisations for referrals, signposting, and workshops.
• Fulfil Designated Safeguarding Officer duties.
• Develop and facilitate group training for learners and employees.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies.
What are we looking for?
Essential
• A recognised diploma or degree in Counselling.
• Experience of working with young people and adults in a counselling setting.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check (cost covered by the company) and EWC registration.
• Full driving license with use of own vehicle
Desirable
• Accredited member of BACP or equivalent.
