Job Description We’re recruiting for a Construction Manager to join us. You will have responsibility for the onsite management at Mowbray, Horsham to ensure the company’s aims and objectives are delivered. You will play a pivotal role as lead consortium member and will be one of the key communication channels with the Management Company. What you'll be doing: Working closely with the Engineering & Commercial Manager to oversee delivery of all onsite strategic infrastructure and landscaping to meet the required standards, budgets, and programme Proactively controlling site costs through identifying overspend, cost-efficient use of resources, managing contractor relationships, and continued discussion with both internal and external teams Leading on all consortium matters and providing direction to Parcel Developers Site Managers teams to ensure they know what is expected of them Taking overall responsibility for the project office, site security, transfer of land to the Management Company, and managing gate persons (if necessary). This also includes working with our external Health & Safety Advisor, being the lead H&S company member on site ensuring health & safety compliance for both L&G and our Principal Contractors Supporting our Principal Contractors on the installation of utilities and managing site-wide services. This includes overseeing any Design & Build Contractors the business employs on site in the delivery of community facilities (e.g., community centre and sports pavilion) Assisting the Engineering Manager and Commercial Manager in delivery of the Commercial Business Plan and ensuring the adoption of road and sewers on site, which will entail strategy, phasing, and sequencing of future infrastructure delivery in accordance with the Commercial Plan. This also involves the production of construction programmes and plans for Phase development that delivers the business plan Ensuring compliance with planning conditions such as CEMP’s, overseeing ecology issues on site, and managing enabling works such as tree protection or demolition Consumer Duty Accountabilites: Assisting with organising surveys, meeting visitors, and liaising with landowners on matters such as access. Continually developing and improving relationships with contractors and the local community. Ongoing liaison with local key stakeholder groups
