This is an exciting role and will suit an ambitious and driven individual. You will be an adaptive learner with strong negotiating skills and the ability to quickly apply your understanding and take charge of the sales development requirements.
Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager
* Being actively involved in sourcing new sales generation, building relationships, and generating potential opportunities to develop sales
* Setting and delivering successful sales strategies
* Establishing, monitoring and analysing sales targets
* Developing the product portfolio against current market trends
* Managing and supporting the existing sales processes to ensure continued success
* Researching market trends and competitor activity
* Representing the company at national trade shows and events
* Working with the Marketing team to build brand awareness, identify opportunities and measure results
* Attend management meetings and contribute to overall business development and growth
* Managing customer support requirements
Promoted role – Head of Sales
The original BDM role with transition to a promoted Head of Sales role within the initial 6-12 month period. The Head of Sales role will have the additional responsibilities:
* To recruit and build a team of Business Development Managers to support the business in different geographical areas within the UK
* To manage the day-to-day responsibilities, development and productivity of the sales team
* To support a sales orientated culture within the business
* To devise and deliver regular sales based events encompassing the whole team
* To oversee all sales pipeline activity within the business and report at a senior strategic level
* To hold a senior management position within the business
Person requirements:
* A high standard of business and commercial acumen
* Time served experience within the recruitment industry
* Ability to present well, deliver results, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively
* In-depth knowledge of the recruitment industry and its current events
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Exceptional client liaison and relationship management skills
* Strong negotiation skills
* Good mannered, respectful to all and committed to working as part of the team
* Strong IT and reporting skills
* Be honest, show integrity and be inquisitive
* Understand the value of reputation
* Promote a positive growth oriented attitude
Please note: A full UK driving license is essential for this role.
This role will suit an experienced Business Development / Sales Manager who is looking to secure the next step in their career.
In return, the business will offer a fantastic benefits package inclusive of a strong basic pay structure – Initially up to 38k per annum, sales incentive bonus scheme based on performance and results and a company pension scheme.
Job offer:
Salary - Up to £38k basic + Performance commission package
1st year OTE - £50k+ pa
Location - Upper Heyford (Field Based)
