Rolls-Royce Submarines Limited is responsible for delivering the Pressurised Water Reactor (PWR) Nuclear Steam Raising Plant (NSRP) and associated systems for the Royal Navy’s fleet of submarines. We work closely with the Ministry of Defence (MoD), the Submarines Delivery Agency and the Alliance Partners.
We are currently looking for an individual with a strong background in Information and Knowledge Management (IKM) to help shape the way the Alliance works together as we transition from manufacture to build and in-service support. This role sits within Engineering and is based at our Raynesway site in Derby.

What you will be doing:
You will be the first point of contact for the allocated IKM activities within Rolls-Royce Submarines working closely with our Industry Partners.
1. Undertake activities with our Industry Partners and understand their working structure to establish common solutions for IKM delivery.
2. Ensuring the IKM requirements are managed and delivered in accordance with the timescales that the Programme requires.
3. Develop processes and create documentation for the provision of information sharing in a controlled environment.
4. Engaging with primary stakeholders in Rolls-Royce Submarines, the customer and other collaborative partners.
5. Undertaking Knowledge Management activities within Rolls-Royce Submarines and with the MoD.

6. Experience in Knowledge Management or Information Management activities.
7. Experience of project management or engineering practices, where a relevant qualification or working towards would be an advantage.

10. Strong organisational and good presentation skills.
11. Ability to involve resources and facilitate event workshops and meetings.
12. Networking skills to engage with contacts required to get things done.
13. Excellent time management, self-motivation, and decision-making abilities.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place.
