Health, Safety Environmental Coordinator This role is to support the Health, Safety, Environmental and Facilities function to maintain compliance to all relevant standards, regulatory and legislative requirements. You play a key role in promoting a safety-based and compliance focused culture and supporting the operation of management systems for Health and Safety, Environmental and Energy Management, in line with SBU objectives and certification aspirations (e.g. ISO 14001, 45001 and 50001 ). Location : Wimborne, UK Your Challenge: To co-ordinate and maintain aspects of the company’s health & safety management system in compliance with legislation and the businesses ISO certifications Work within the team and the business to deliver objectives and achieve KPI’s To record and investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and coordinate remedial actions with various teams across the business To review training needs and coordinate training courses in line with the BMS, ensuring all matrices are up to date Prepare and disseminate internal communications including promoting company policies and toolbox talks Identify and assist in continuous improvement across the function Coordinating remedial actions and assisting in the closure of NCR’s Assist in conducting risk assessment and COSHH assessments, implementing control measures to minimise the risks General administration tasks related to the function Support the site management team on safety processes, changes as a result of an investigation, best practise and all general safety enquiries To assist with site audits and inspections to maintain compliance Support management in fostering a strong safety culture within the business What You Bring: Applicants must be able to obtain a suitable UKSV security clearance. Security contractual compliance will require incumbents must be a British National. IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent, or working towards (training can be given to attain this). NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent level 3 qualification desirable. Competent with IT skills and used to using Microsoft Packages including Word, Excel and Outlook 360. Able to assist with carrying out Health and Safety Investigations, Risk Assessments and COSHH assessments. Able to assist in completing internal health and Safety Inspections and Audits Participate in Health and Safety meetings Identifying trends in health and safety related data and providing data driven recommendations to the health and safety team to improve and innovate Experience working within a highly regulated industry with controlled materials (preferably Radiological e.g. Nuclear, Medical) preferred Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (Tech IOSH) preferred Member of the BIFM/IWFM Environmental Management Membership (IEMA) - Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) preferred Who We Are Our Values Environmental, Social and Governance Ultra Energy, a Business Unit of Curtiss Wright, is a global engineering and design manufacture leader with just over six decades of experience designing for heavily regulated markets, such as nuclear, aerospace, oil and gas, and more.
