Job summary The Queen's Centre is a purpose-built facility at Castle Hill Hospital that offers specialised care for oncology and haematology patients from a broad geographical area. The successful candidate will collaborate with the team to provide comprehensive care and ensure the highest standard of patient experience. This role is also a PROGRESSIVE BAND 5 TO BAND 6. Once competency levels for lymphoedema care are met, this role will be at a Band 6 level. The current competencies are: Completion the lymphoedema rehabilitation programme to obtain British Lymphology Society Membership Running their own new patient clinic Working independently, formulating management plans and changes in treatment plan Working towards delivery of intensive therapies such as manual lymphatic drainage, low level light therapy and compression bandaging. Main duties of the job The role of the registered nurse in the lymphoedema specialist team is essential for providing ongoing support and treatment to cancer patients. You will deliver compassionate care and specialised lymphoedema management to these patients, both in inpatient and outpatient settings. As a registered nurse, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals with lymphoedema during your shift.
