Job Title: Supply Chain Data Governance Manager

Salary: £61,300 + depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
* Support the Supply Chain Data Board in leading data governance and management across the Supply Chain function and wider BAE Systems
* Escalate data governance issues as needed and communicate strategic decisions across the business
* Collaborate with Group Function IM&T and other governance teams to enhance BAE Systems data governance capability
* Define, implement, and manage data governance frameworks within Supply Chain while contributing to wider organisational improvements
* Promote awareness of data assets value across Supply Chain and the broader business
* Ensure data governance policies, standards, and controls are embedded and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements
* Support Data Owners, Stewards, and Governance Champions in understanding their roles and enhancing data governance capability
* Stay informed on industry best practices, assessing and applying relevant advancements to Supply Chain
Your skills and experiences:
* Excellent understanding of data governance and management, including best practices for development and deployment
* Knowledge of data management tools, methods, and processes, including data quality, metadata, data dictionaries, master data, and data architecture
* Awareness of legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements related to information and data
* Ability to apply data and information effectively to deliver business value
* A degree or equivalent relevant experience demonstrating the necessary skills and understanding in data management or a related field

The Data Governance Team:
Join a dynamic team driving data governance across BAE Systems, where you’ll play a key role in leading the Data Architecture strategy and managing the Data Board. This role offers the opportunity to shape data governance principles, with a focus on applying DAMA standards and delivering critical data governance capabilities into the Supply Chain function. Reporting directly to the Head of Digital and Data, you’ll contribute to the strategic direction of digital transformation, driving data quality improvements, and helping the business realise its digitisation goals. With the chance to lead the development and successful implementation of Supply Chain Data Governance, you’ll be instrumental in supporting the ongoing growth of the Supply Chain function while aligning with BAE Systems’ broader business objectives. As an experienced stakeholder manager, you will foster relationships and influence outcomes, ensuring a collaborative and forward-thinking approach to data management.
