We are looking for a Quality Engineer to work at our busy manufacturing facility in Marple. As a Quality Engineer, you will support the QEHS Manager in maintaining and improving processes with regard to quality control standards and customer requirements.

Job Description
Your Responsibilities:
1. Deal with customer rejections, complaints and quality related technical queries (non-conformance reports, root cause analysis and determining corrective action).
2. Undertake FAIRs and other similar compliance activities in accordance with customer requirements and standards AS9102, AS9100 and AS13100.
3. In-process and production measurement and inspection of components, including first off inspection in accordance with customer drawing and specification requirements and where required, compiling dimensional reports to record findings.
4. Monitor company equipment calibration and undertake or expedite internal and external calibration activities.
5. Monitor other relevant equipment servicing or plant system testing status.
6. Support the QESH Manager with providing leadership, guidance and where applicable training and mentoring for production inspection stamp holders to meet customer requirements and eliminate escapes.
7. Liaise with suppliers regarding material supply quality issues or queries and assist with monitoring supplier performance.
8. Assist with and/or undertake quality audits.
Your Profile:
Essential skills:
1. QC Mechanical Inspection – Aerospace or similar equivalent highly regulated industry.
2. Ability to carry out detailed inspection using a variety of inspection and test equipment.
3. Ability to read and understand a variety of customer engineering drawings.
4. Proven track record in a responsible inspection/quality control role.
5. Experience of working with an established quality standard as well as customer requirements.
6. Able to demonstrate active involvement in root cause investigation and corrective action.
7. Experience working with a variety of functions and/or stakeholders to resolve problems/achieve improvement.
8. Viable experience or appreciation of improvement methodologies.
