We are looking for an experienced CFO to oversee all financial aspects of our scaling business and drive the company's financial strategy and planning. This role requires a strategic leader who can instil financial discipline, manage budgets effectively, and work closely with operational, commercial, and technology teams to drive scalable growth. The ideal candidate will support the company’s ambition for tech innovation and commercial leadership in the eSIM and broader tech industry. Your expertise will not only be instrumental in managing and optimising our financial operations but also in fostering strong relationships with senior stakeholders to drive business improvements. You will provide strategic guidance and insights, enabling the company to navigate complex business decisions and secure its position as a market leader in the rapidly evolving eSIM industry. Group Finance Responsibilities & Duties: Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s operational, technological, and commercial goals, particularly with respect to managing multiple P&Ls and ensuring alignment with operational KPIs for each region and product line. Partnering with Commercial Teams on Pricing & Revenue Models: Support commercial teams in developing dynamic pricing strategies and innovative revenue models (e.g., subscription models, pay-as-you-go) that align with business growth strategy, tech offerings and customer needs. Embed Financial Strategy in Innovation and Product Development: Collaborate closely with product and R&D teams to understand the financial implications of new products or features. Ensure the finance team can evaluate the commercial viability and scalability of new tech offerings early in the product life cycle. Support for Go-to-Market Strategies: Finance should play a key role in commercial strategies. This includes modelling the financial impacts of different market-entry strategies and evaluating customer acquisition costs across products/regions. Budget Discipline and Accountability: Implement a culture of financial discipline, ensuring that all directors and employees adhere to budgets without adding excessive layers of bureaucracy. International Financial Management: Navigate the complexities of international commerce, currency and FX management, adapting strategies to accommodate different economic environments and regulatory frameworks Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. Cash Flow & Forecasting: Direct all aspects of cash flow management and financial forecasting, ensuring accurate and timely information for decision-making.Retaining constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems Procurement & Supplier Management: Have financial oversight of procurement processes and supplier management. Ensuring good process adhered to for selection of suppliers and maximum value derived from key partners. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with accounting policies, tax laws, and financial regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions and territories. Lead initiatives to manage and mitigate financial risks. Budget Management: Lead the finance team in managing budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, long-term forecasting. Evolve Fintech Solutions: Adopt fintech tools for real-time financial analytics, AI-driven forecasting, and predictive modelling to enhance decision-making, optimise cash flow management, and ensure more precise budgeting. Implementation Financial Infrastructure: As the company grows, financial systems need to support increasing transaction volumes, multi-region operations, and complex revenue streams. Invest in ERP systems or cloud-based financial platforms that are scalable and integrated with the company’s operational and commercial systems. Automation in Financial Processes: Identify opportunities for automation and efficient workflows in accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and other back-office functions to reduce manual work and improve accuracy. Transparency & Accountability: Foster a culture of transparency and accountability in financial management across the business Data & Analytics: Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making. Working with the data team to develop accurate accounting processes that integrate as far as possible with operational systems (e.g. Grafana). Management Accounts & Reporting: Producing management accounts promptly for each company in the group and producing consolidated group management accounts. Including reports and dashboards to share across the wider business. Contractor & Supplier Management: Working with external contractors and suppliers accountants in each country to produce statutory accounts and corporation tax returns each year. Intercompany Management: Implement a compliant transfer pricing and intercompany charging structure. Tax Compliance: Completing other tax returns as appropriate (including, without limitation, sales taxes, withholding taxes, etc).Working with tax advisers to deal with complications arising from international operations such as the international mobility of staff and directors. Investor Relations: Present financial results, forecasts, and strategic plans to investors, ensuring transparency and building investor confidence. Strategic Capital Raising: Engage with investors not only to raise capital but to align with growth ambitions and potential tech innovations. Communicate clearly the financial and strategic rationale behind investments in technology, market expansion, and operational efficiencies. Expansion Financing: Focus on diversifying financing options for scaling, such as venture debt, equity rounds, or public listings, while ensuring capital is deployed in a way that supports both commercial expansion and technological innovation. Prioritisation of Capital Investments: Ensure that investments are strategically allocated across product, tech, commercial initiatives, and operational infrastructure. Focus on high-ROI projects that enhance scalability, such as new technology stacks or expansion into new markets. Financial Agility: Establish dynamic budget models that can quickly adapt to growth opportunities or market changes, balancing long-term planning with the need for rapid adjustments during scale-up phases. Employee Growth Share Plan (GSP): Develop and expand GSP programs to align employee incentives with the company’s long-term growth. Ensure that the financial structure supports broad participation in ownership, helping to drive employee retention and alignment with shareholder interests. To be successful you will need: To be ACCA or ACA qualified with at least 6 years PQE and proven experience in a senior finance leadership role ideally in the telecoms or tech sectors Demonstrated experience in leading finance teams, driving financial discipline, and holding peers accountable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Solid experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Experience of working in a multinational group is essential. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in financial management software and Excel. (e.g Xero) Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity. Dealing with external auditors, investors and other stakeholders.
