The Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs, helping them access learning and achieve their full potential. You will: Work 1:1 or with small groups, providing tailored support to students with EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans). Assist students with a range of needs, including ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), ADHD, and Speech & Language Difficulties. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to implement personalised learning strategies. Provide academic and emotional support, helping students develop confidence and independence. Use creative and flexible approaches to engage and motivate learners with different needs. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported. What We’re Looking For: We are keen to hear from individuals who: Have previous experience working in schools, OR have transferable skills from sectors such as care, youth work, social services, or healthcare. Are patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting students with SEN. Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
