This full-time, contract role presents an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on students who benefit from a personalised and engaging approach to learning outside of mainstream education. As a Humanities Teacher in this setting, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. You will play a vital role in helping students build confidence in their academic abilities while supporting their personal and social development. This role is ideal for a committed teacher who thrives in a dynamic and supportive environment. While experience in an alternative provision or working with students with additional needs is desirable, it is not essential, as professional development opportunities are available. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive Humanities lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners. Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes confidence and engagement. Adapt teaching strategies to suit the individual learning styles of students. Work closely with support staff and external professionals to enhance student learning. Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring personalised learning approaches where needed. Promote positive behaviour management strategies and student engagement. Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the welfare of all students. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in Humanities (History, Geography, RE or related fields). Experience working in an Alternative Provision, PRU, or with students who require additional support is desirable but not essential. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. A passion for engaging students through innovative and personalised teaching methods. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
