Hours: Monday - Thursday: 7:30am to 5:00pm, with a 30-minute lunch break. Friday: 7:30am to 12:30pm

We're looking for a Production Leader to take full ownership of day-to-day production operations at Penta Precision. We are a growing and values-driven precision machining business in Portsmouth. This is a leadership opportunity with real long-term potential. You'll lead a skilled team, drive performance, and play a key role in shaping the future of our operation.
What you will be doing:
As the Production Leader at Penta, you will be responsible for leading and managing day-to-day shopfloor operations across multiple departments. You'll oversee a skilled and motivated team, ensuring we consistently meet our production targets while upholding the highest standards of quality and service.
You will take full ownership of the production schedule, planning and delivering it with accuracy and efficiency. Collaboration is key in this role, you'll work closely with Sales, Production, Quality, Dispatch, and senior leadership to support our ongoing growth and ensure our customers receive the best possible service.
We're looking for someone who can build trust, lead with empathy, developing a high-performing team culture. You'll be expected to drive continuous improvement across both operational processes and team behaviours, helping individuals and the wider team perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage daily shopfloor operations across multiple departments

What we're looking for in you
We're looking for someone who gets it, wants it, and has the capacity to lead. Someone with a solid grounding in CNC machining and manufacturing who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.
You'll be a strong fit if you can demonstrate:
* Extensive experience in machining or manufacturing, ideally with time on the tools
* Proven success managing production teams and planning complex shopfloor schedules
* A naturally organised and driven approach, with strong initiative and follow-through
* The ability to build trust, listen well, and motivate others to achieve their best
* Curiosity and a habit of asking thoughtful questions to understand and improve
* Emotional intelligence, humility, and a mindset focused on the greater good of the team.
* Ownership mentality, you want to take responsibility, make things better, and grow
* Confident with computers and production systems (SFDC or equivalent experience is a plus)
* Ideally, exposure to batch work, subcontract coordination, and precision machining operations.
This isn't a role for someone who just wants to manage from a distance. We're looking for someone with the energy, empathy, and attention to detail to make things happen and bring people with them.
