Transport Supervisor £31,500 per annum Letchworth Mon – Fri 40hrs per week Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor for a waste management company based in Letchworth. This is temp-perm position with the opportunity to go full time. Our client needs a well-rounded individual who can think on their feet, and work in a fast passed environment. This is a Monday Friday position with start times varying between 06:00 – 14:00 or 08:00 – 17:00 Key Responsibilities Ensure all operations are compliant with Health and Safety Standards, Company Policies, Procedures and Waste Management Legislation Effective management of resources and services report any problems to Contract Manager Ensure your team and operations meet targets Conduct daily and weekly audits to ensure all operations meet Health and Safety Standards Maintain work reports and vehicle logs Update employee/ related paper work to include time sheets, holidays, sickness/absence Organisation staff communications, meeting and training Carry out any other such reasonable job related tasks as the company may require you to undertake from time to time Key Knowledge / Qualifications Management or Supervisory qualification Effective Organisational and planning skills Previous experience working in the Waste Industry Experience in quality control Experience in conducting audits IOSH qualification Key Characteristics Previous experience of working with or managing a team. Previous experience of Street Sweeping and/or Refuse Collection (as appropriate). Minimum basic computer skills. LGV Licence (desirable) Digital Tacho Card, Valid CPC Card (as appropriate).
