Position Overview: The firm is seeking an experienced HR Manager to play a key role in supporting and developing the firm’s workforce of 80 employees. The successful candidate will work closely with the Practice Manager, Managing Partner, and HR Partner, driving the firm’s people strategy while ensuring a culture of inclusivity and excellence. This role is ideal for a proactive HR professional with a background in professional services, preferably within a law firm. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and offboarding. • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment law and best practices. • Advise Partners, senior management, and employees on HR matters, including employment law, benefits, and organisational development. • Manage employee relations issues, ensuring professionalism and confidentiality. • Lead and support HR projects, such as staff development programmes and wellbeing initiatives. • Ensure the firm’s diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives align with strategic goals. • Utilise HR management software and tools effectively. • Build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the firm. Requirements: Essential: • Proven experience in HR management within a professional services environment, ideally within a law firm. • Strong expertise in employee relations, talent acquisition, and performance management. • Ability to implement and manage HR policies in line with legal compliance and best practices. • Strong organisational, communication, and negotiation skills. • Experience handling sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism. Desirable: • Familiarity with HR practices specific to the legal sector. • Experience in implementing diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. • CIPD qualification or working towards one.
