An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a caretaking role within our Environmental Services team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the safety, security, and cleanliness of Stockport Homes buildings; you must always deliver an excellent level of customer service, even when faced with challenging behaviours. You’ll be required to communicate effectively with your manager and colleagues to ensure all work is completed and, where necessary, to solve problems as they arise. Working pro-actively on areas which require the most intensive cleaning, you must be flexible and open to change, able to use IT applications and support our team’s vision to grow and develop.
You should complete any training required to carry out the job safely, protecting both yourself and others around you, and be aware to report any safeguarding issues. You will be responsible for maintaining adequate stock levels on site so all cleaning and maintenance tasks can be carried out efficiently and effectively.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to drive, work flexibly across our 7-day working pattern and have a positive and enthusiastic approach to work and dealing with customers. You will have a good eye for detail; making sure no job, however small, is overlooked. Previous experience of working in a caretaking, cleaning or high reach window cleaning role is desirable, but not essential as all relevant training will be given. A full driving licence is required.
The SHG “Be You” approach sums up our belief that everyone has the right to be who they are, and to be that person at work, in line with SHG’s Values. We’re always looking to improve diversity within our teams to enhance this culture and to be truly representative of the communities we work in.
This role will be on Three Sixty hybrid terms and conditions.
The successful applicant's appointment will be subject to satisfactory basic clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
We understand that if you don't meet every requirement, you may be hesitant to apply but we still want to hear from you and encourage you to submit an application detailing your experiences, achievements, and the value you can bring to our team.
