Our client a leading charity, based in Birmingham. Is looking for a talented Credit Control manager to join their team and lead the credit control function. Role Overview: As a Credit Control Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the credit control operations, managing the credit risk, and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts. You will lead a small team of credit controllers and work closely with other departments to ensure the financial health of the business is maintained. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and motivate a team of credit controllers to ensure effective performance and high productivity. Debt Collection: Ensure prompt and efficient collection of overdue accounts, maintaining strong relationships with customers while enforcing company policies. Credit Management: Monitor and manage credit limits for customers, assess new customers’ creditworthiness, and ensure credit policies are adhered to. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on aged debt, collections progress, and credit control performance for senior management. Dispute Resolution: Address any customer disputes related to invoices and payments, ensuring they are resolved efficiently. Process Improvement: Review and improve internal credit control processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risk. Cash Flow Management: Work closely with the finance team to ensure cash flow is optimized and overdue accounts are minimized. Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, including company policies and legal requirements. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Credit Control Manager in a similar financial role. Strong understanding of credit management, debt collection, and financial reporting. Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop a team. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills. Experience with credit control software and MS Office (Excel is essential). Knowledge of legal aspects of credit management and collections. Desirable Skills: AAT, ACCA, CIMA or CICM or have similar credit management qualifications. Experience within healthcare, not profit, accountancy, etc. would be beneficial. Why Join Us?
