Inpatient Booking Co-ordinator/Medical Secretary

We are seeking a dynamic, well-organised, and pro-active booking coordinator/medical secretary.

Main duties of the job
You should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a good eye for detail, and be a true team player. The ability to organise and prioritise work under pressure to meet strict deadlines is essential, ensuring early escalation of any potential problems.
This role involves working closely with the Clinical Administration Lead to support the delivery of national access targets.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good standard of general education, must include GCSE Maths & English or equivalent.
* IT qualification or relevant experience (Word, Excel, Email, Internet & PowerPoint).
* NVQ in Administration or equivalent. ECDL.
Experience
* Previous NHS or similar healthcare experience
* Ability and expertise in managing own workload. Experience of Excel, Windows and the use of databases
* Experience of Galaxy, Dragon
* Use of electronic patient record systems such as the Patient Administration System (PAS), Maxims
