The main purpose of the MDT Co-ordinator role is to support the clinical team and patient pathways at the Cancer MDT Meeting to ensure that the Trust meets the requirements of the national Cancer Waiting Time Standards. This will involve collecting data from a variety of sources and entering the data items into the Trust’s cancer database Somerset. The post holder will need excellent organisational and communication skills and a good attention for detail to be successful in the role.
MDT Coordination - Arrange, cover and co-ordinate the weekly/fortnightly/monthly MDT meetings for designated specialties to ensure they are run in accordance with the requirements of the national Manual of Cancer Services - this includes meetings outside of the main treatment MDTs, such as, Diagnostic MDTs
Clinical Support, Data Input/validation and completion and Cancer Wait Times adherence
