Four year apprenticeship with one year at Glasgow Clyde College.\nWorking with time served colleagues within our factory at Helen Street.\nFamiliarisation with piping materials, reading and understanding pipework drawings and general arrangements for piping processes.\nDevelop skills in measuring, sketching, pipework preparation for assembly and welding.\nLearn to work safely and maintain a tidy working environment.\n38 Hour working week. You will develop skills in pipework fabrication and assembly cut, bend, thread, prep and tack, ready for welding.\nLearn the ability to site measure pipework and supports to produce material lists and fabrication sketches, bolt up and installation.\nDevelop knowledge of materials, processes and test requirements.\nA degree of welding shall also be involved in this apprenticeship.\nTeam work, problem solving and interpretation & communication of technical terminology.\nYou shall be trained in the use of work equipment. manual handling, risk assessment, and the values of maintaining a safe and well organised work environment.\nOther training such as use of access equipment and confined space entry may be provided as the apprenticeship progresses leading to working on a wide range of worksites.
