An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, motivated, innovative, and hardworking senior nurse to join the Newborn Services at St Mary's Managed Clinical Service (MCS) team as a Ward Manager. The ward manager will have overall responsibility for the provision of excellent care, leadership, and management for the babies, families, and staff on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit on the Oxford Road Campus.

You will have a specific site base but may be required to work across the MCS if service needs require. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to provide clinically excellent care, and be able to promote and lead the delivery of high-quality care.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be a qualified specialty neonatal nurse with significant experience at band 6 or above. You will have specialist clinical knowledge, communication, leadership, and management skills to support the organization in the delivery of the highest quality of care while leading the nursing team.
The post holder will manage all aspects of clinical standards and professional practice within the unit and will manage and coordinate staff budget resources and the environment. You will help shape the future of the service supporting the Matron for Intensive Care and High Dependency.
