Temporary Works Supervisor - EFW New Build
Our client in the EfW (Energy from Waste) sector is recruiting a Temporary Works Supervisor to join them on the boiler contract on a new EFW facility in Essex. As the TW Supervisor, you will ensure and be responsible for all temporary operations are planned, organised, and undertaken by competent persons. This is a physical role with boots on the ground inspections.
Key responsibilities:
1. Oversee TWC structures and related items and oversee design aspects of the TW.
2. Chair co-ordination meetings between the various contractors on site to ensure minimum hindrance to the construction work.
3. Design and pre-plan the scaffold including weight limitations, scaffold type, fall protection, tie-offs, supports, etc.
4. Carry out final inspection of the scaffold prior to initial occupation for use.
5. Inspect and document the condition of the scaffold and its ability to be occupied safely.
6. Inspect scaffolds after changes/alterations have been made.
7. Oversee and inspect mobile scaffolds.
8. Train other competent persons, scaffold erectors, and users.
9. Deliver Lessons Learned and feedback for current and future projects.
10. Keep the Site Manager informed of all site-related activities.
What you will need:
1. Temporary works accredited training course.
2. Experience in a similar role on large construction projects.
3. Valid safety qualification such as CCNSG, CISRS, SSSTS, SMSTS, IOSH or similar.
What’s in it for you?
Initially a 6-month contract, likely to be extended dependent on project progress. There could also be an opportunity to move to a new project.
Able to work LTD, CIS, PAYE, or UMB – flexible pay type.
58 hours, 10-hour days, with Saturdays.
