The vacancy We are looking for a talented and hands-on Lead Software Developer with extensive experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365, specialising in either Finance & Operations or CE (i.e. Customer Service, Field Service). As a Lead Developer, you'll be at the forefront of our software engineering efforts, shaping and maintaining our Dynamics-focused Power Platform solutions. Most excitingly, we are building out a large Dynamics focused, Power Platform engineering team for which this role is a key component. We have two roles available which are permanent and full time. You can be based from any of our main offices in Lichfield, Wolverhampton, Tewkesbury or Chipping Sodbury with regular home working available. The role requires a DBS check. Your Role Technical Leadership: Providing guidance across agile teams, reviewing development standards, peer-reviewing work, and driving quality assurance throughout the development lifecycle. You'll implement tools and processes to enhance efficiency and robustness, ensuring smooth onboarding for new developers and preventing single points of failure. Design: Crafting and reviewing application and integration designs, assisting in evaluating new technologies, and creating proof of concepts. Development: Building Power Apps, Power Flows, and custom solutions within Dynamics 365, including Azure Integration Services. You'll also create unit test cases for CI/CD. Application Lifecycle Management: Ensuring continuous integration and deployment mechanisms are robust and transparent, implementing and running Microsoft's Power Apps Centre of Excellence. To thrive in this role, you should have: Excellent C# and JavaScript skills, and proficiency with the .Net framework and Microsoft SQL Server Database CRUD operations. Extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 SDK and tooling, plugin development, and workflows. Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations or Customer Service, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse. Extensive Dynamics 365 development and good (e.g. 2 years) in Power Platform development. Essential Qualities: We're looking for someone who is: An excellent communicator who can effectively engage with both technical teams and business stakeholders. A problem solver with the ability to self-teach new technologies. A champion of knowledge sharing and robust DevSecOps practices. Proactive in providing updates and raising issues. Skilled in investigating and building proof of concepts for new technologies. Capable of developing effective working relationships within the team. Desirable Skills: Experience with development partners, Power Virtual Agent, Power BI, PowerShell, AI technologies (e.g., Co-Pilot), Dynamics Omnichannel, Service Scheduling, SharePoint development, Azure DevOps, Agile Scrum, SQL Server Reporting Services, and Microsoft SharePoint.
