If you’re a manager with significant Local Taxation experience, and the passion and drive to help us modernise our services, then we’d like to hear from you As Service Manager - Local Taxation and Business Transformation you will play a key role in helping to deliver the Council’s priorities You will be responsible for planning, developing, delivering, and managing Local Taxation, ensuring compliance with legislation and high standards of service delivery. Your role will involve contributing to the strategic direction of the service, developing and implementing policies, managing stakeholder relationships, and overseeing performance and quality management systems. You will also be responsible for fostering a high performing culture across the service, ensuring a customer focussed approach and a drive for continuous improvement, best practice and value for money To be successful in this role, you will need: Substantial experience in planning and delivering a Local Taxation service, with expert technical knowledge and experience. A proven track record of senior management success in a Local Taxation role. Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Local Taxation service area, including systems, policies, practices, procedures, legislation, and major issues. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders. Strong leadership abilities, with evidence of developing and managing multi-disciplinary teams. A degree-level education or equivalent standard, and relevant professional qualifications (e.g., IRRV, CIPFA) are desirable.
