Supportive Management | Career Progression Opportunities | Hybrid | 9 Day Fortnight
Are you an experienced children's social worker looking to get into fostering?
We're currently working with an outstanding rated IFA based in Bedford for an experienced practitioner to join their established service as a Supervising Social Worker.
Although experience in fostering is desirable, this IFA is happy to consider experienced social workers across different areas in children's services, who are looking to make the change to a fostering service.
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be responsible for:
1. Supporting and managing approved foster carers.
2. Assessing special guardians.
3. Ensuring support plans are in place.
4. Working with children's social workers to achieve permanence, either through long-term fostering or special guardianship.
Benefits include a competitive salary of up to £39,727, as well as a hybrid working pattern. The managers are also always open to discussions on flexible working arrangements, including opportunities for condensed hours and 9-day fortnights to ensure you're maintaining that all-important work-life balance.
This IFA also has great staff retention, with vacancies in the service being a rarity. They have a real focus on professional development, with 2 of the senior management team being homegrown. You will also be enrolled onto a L&D programme to ensure your continued professional development.
