We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer experiences and innovative solutions. We are looking for a meticulous and organized Document Controller to join our team. Job Description:
The Document Controller will be responsible for the administration and filing of project documentation, ensuring the issuance and receipt of controlled documents, and creating document transmittals. You will compile project-specific final documentation packages and ensure compliance with project and company procedures. Additionally, you will act as the office administrator for the engineering office and lead the administration of Drawing Office activities.
Responsibilities
1. Build and maintain electronic project documentation registers.
2. Create, maintain, and manage document schedules.
3. Liaise with internal and external customers to understand documentation requirements for each project.
4. Follow client-specific project documentation procedures.
5. Issue and receive documents and drawings in a controlled manner within agreed timescales.
6. Distribute incoming technical documentation as per project requirements.
7. Dispatch outgoing technical documentation as per project and company requirements.
8. Ensure proper filing of project documentation.
9. Expedite documentation both internally and externally.
10. Compile and issue final technical documentation packages, identifying and rectifying areas of omission or query before issuing.
11. Prepare project documentation for archive.
12. Prepare reports on request.
13. Lead the Drawing Office administration of Autodesk Vault & Fusion.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
1. Ability to recognize, understand, and interpret engineering documentation (e.g., drawings, specifications, process and flow diagrams).
2. Proficient in engineering and design document control.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office package.
4. Knowledge of Autodesk CAD products.
5. Good interpersonal skills.
6. Experience with document filing systems.
7. Experience working to both departmental and project-specific procedures.
8. Experience working in an engineering project team.
