Location: Office Base is Cardiff. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working.

From TV trailers to social media on Wales’ biggest channels, to attention grabbing PR stunts – here’s your chance to make your mark on a national level.
This role sits in the Wales Marketing and Audiences (M&A) team, which is part of the Nations Division within the Chief Customer Operating Group. The marketing team is focused on connecting audiences to the very best content, so that audiences in Wales and beyond get the most out of the BBC. Reporting into the Marketing Manager, this is a 9-month fixed-term contract, based in the Cardiff office with hybrid working (two days minimum in the office) with some flexibility offered.
You will manage the delivery of multi-media campaigns and marketing collateral in line with the marketing plan. To help deliver creatively outstanding and high quality campaigns that are on brand, on budget and on time with consistency of visual look, brand image, identity and communications messages across all media with a particular emphasis on digital.
Main Responsibilities
As a Marketing Executive, you will work across the team on a variety of campaigns, managing the delivery of high quality promotional campaigns in response to campaign commissions across all BBC Cymru Wales programmes and content.
To deliver complex marketing campaigns and publicity, in line with latest trends, in order to make the maximum impact for our brands and programmes. You’ll be working across Wales and network content, including iPlayer (Scripted and Unscripted), BBC Sounds, BBC Radio Cymru, BBC Radio Wales and much more.
You’ll understand the media landscape in Wales, have a good grasp of what works well on social media (including writing pithy and suitable messaging) and be able to develop good relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
Manage major event commissions, developing and delivering high quality event experiences for our audiences.
Are you the right candidate
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the BBC’s role as a Public Service Broadcaster, who can bring fresh ideas and creativity to the team. We are looking for an experienced Marketing Executive who has a good understanding of the broadcast industry and experience in managing high quality marketing campaigns. You’ll be a strong communicator with the ability to establish and manage stakeholder relationships, as well as dealing with the public.
You'll have experience within creative, communications or audiences sectors.
You Will Demonstrate Experience Of
1. Delivering high quality, creative and innovative marketing campaigns from the briefing stage to evaluation across a range of programmes, product brands and services – making the most of the BBC’s own diverse marketing inventory and paid-for platforms.
2. Building effective and collaborative working relationships with in-house creative and media planning teams to ensure campaigns are of the highest quality and reach intended audiences.
3. Being a champion of digital marketing channels with a particular understanding of social media platforms, incorporating ideas into marketing plans where possible and which are audience appropriate.
4. Supporting the Marketing Manager in working with colleagues in the other nations to enable pan-UK priority campaigns have relevance to audiences in each nation.
5. Leading on campaign evaluations with a particular focus and understanding of digital and social media analytics and being able to apply learnings to future campaigns.
6. Experience of working on events to support delivery of an annual timetable of audience engagement events.
