We run junior summer courses for English language students aged between 10-17. We have students from all over the world, mainly from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Czech Republic, Argentina, and Cyprus. Students usually stay for two weeks and participate in a mixed programme of lessons and activities/excursions run by Activity Leaders.

Overview of Role:
Job Title: Director of Studies
Line Manager: Centre Manager/Academic Manager
Pay Rate: Competitive, dependent on contract type + full-board accommodation and holiday pay
Dates: June to August
Hours: As required (typically 48 hours per week)
You are a competent teacher with significant experience in the EFL and summer school industry. You will have overall responsibility for the successful implementation and administration of all aspects of the academic programme, which includes managing the academic staff and their performance. In addition to optimising our students’ academic programme and environment, you will also ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times. Management, organisation, and problem-solving skills are essential requirements for this position. Our aim is to ensure our students make the most of their academic programme, and as Director of Studies, you will make this happen!

* Full induction on-site. (Managers are required to attend our 2-day induction weekend held at the University of Hull before the start of your contract.)

Eligibility:
PLEASE NOTE WE ARE NOT ABLE TO SPONSOR APPLICATIONS FOR WORK VISAS. You will be requested to present your passport or ID at your interview. Original proof of identity documents (and of the right to work in the UK for those applicable) must be produced on your arrival at the centre.
If you have a work visa to work in the UK, please note that we will require copies of the relevant documents.
