£12.60 per hour, avenges 3.5 hours per week varies between term time and scholl holidays.
I require a support worker to take me out in the community and enjoy things I like, these include:
Visiting the Cinema, my favourite films include Moana, Minions, Trolls and Hotel Transylvania.
I enjoy dancing along to Just dance routines on YouTube and listening to music.
I enjoy playing games like Snakes & Ladders and Dobble. I like making my jigsaws, reading books together and visiting the library.
I love drawing and colouring, particularly monsters
I enjoy outside play, going for walks and visiting playparks, I love the swings, but these need to be car seat type swings not open back.
I enjoy swimming but not yet able to swim.
Due to the fact I am a quite a big person and can run off spontaneously, you will need to be physically able to keep me safe. I have a learning disability, so you will need to be patient and attentive. A history of working with learning disabled people is desirable, experience and knowledge of Makaton would be beneficial.
I am a visual learner; and I use social stories to support good/safe behaviour
I need close supervision when at home and particularly when outside, I can run off and I lack awareness of dangers, so you must be able to run after me.
I am toilet trained, but I require assistance for wiping & cleaning, encouragement to wash hands and to ensure I am focused on these tasks.
I do have a wheelchair as I tire easily when out and about, and sometimes it is needed for behavioural refusal or for safety reasons.
Full clean driving licence essential, and a fully enhanced DBS will be required.
You will be paid Mileage at 45p per mile.
