About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled English Teacher to join the dedicated teaching team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality English lessons to students of varying abilities across key stages 3 and 4, promoting a love of literature, language, and creative expression.
Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
2. Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
3. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success.
4. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and contribute to departmental improvement.
5. Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events that enhance the educational experience.
6. Uphold the values and ethos of the school.
Qualifications
1. English Teaching and Qualified Teacher status
2. Strong background in English Literature
3. Experience in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development
4. Excellent communication and classroom management skills
5. Ability to inspire and engage students at the secondary level
6. Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or related field
Requirements
1. A degree in English or a related field.
2. Proven experience teaching English at the secondary school level.
3. Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
4. Commitment to continuous professional development.
Pay range and compensation package
Competitive, dependent on experience (MPS)
