Mission:
We are seeking a skilled Technical Tendering Engineer specializing in low voltage busbar systems to join our Canalis Team.
Reporting to the MTO Tendering Manager and the wider Canalis team, the Technical Engineer will represent Schneider Electric and will be responsible for preparing technical submissions, reviewing commercial proposals for busbar offerings, providing technical support to the Canalis sales community, preparing orders, engaging with installation teams and direct communications with our commercial clients and customers, ensuring all requirements are thoroughly met through accurate and competitive submissions.
The ideal candidate is to have a good and comprehensive knowledge of with Low Voltage Power Products and Low Voltage busbar trunking systems. They will have direct control of the Schneider Eclectic’s product scope of supply including site delivery activities.
Key responsibilities:
* Review customer specifications and requirements to prepare technically compliant and commercially competitive tender proposals for MTO busbar projects.
* Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and provide technical support during the tendering process.
* Conduct technical assessments to determine the most suitable busbar solutions for customer applications.
* Coordinate with various internal stakeholders, including the expert technical team, product management, and procurement, to gather necessary inputs for tender submissions.
* Ensure that tender documents comply with technical and commercial standards and reflect Schneider Electric's value proposition.
* Participate in tender clarification meetings and technical discussions with customers as required.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of tendering processes and tools for busbar solutions.
Skills and attributes:
* Proven experience in technical tendering or engineering roles related to busbar systems.
* In-depth knowledge of busbar technology, applications, and relevant industry standards.
* Strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to interpret customer requirements and develop tailored solutions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and engage with customers.
* Proficiency in tendering processes, commercial aspects, and project management.
* Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.
* IT literate and capable with standard computer systems. Experience with CAD or similar software desirable.
Education
* Essential:
o GCSE Mathematics and English.
o HNC in Electrical Engineering, electrical engineering certifications or equivalent experience.
o Fluent in English (written and verbal)
