Job Description Summary
As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will lead the commercial financial function for LetsGoCover in delivering its organisational objectives. The role is essential to the future growth of the company ensuring we achieve our targets by developing a first class commercially focused business underpinned with robust financial management, controls, quality and governance. This will be a hands-on role involved with all aspects of financial reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities
* To manage the day-to-day commercial financial management activities for the business.
* Develop financial management initiatives to reduce financial risk, providing relevant recommendations to maximise profits and assisting leadership in decision making.
* Monitoring reporting systems, preparing accurate financial reports and statements, interpreting data, preparing and publishing all financial documents and ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
* Managing accounting, budget, cash flow and reviewing growth and efficiency initiatives.
* To ensure all sales, operations and retention targets are exceeded.
* Maintain key relationships with the Management Team and colleagues at all levels, embedding a commercial focus to achieve financial targets.
* Lead Sales forecasting, trend analysis, conversion insight and develop solutions to improve performance.
* Work as a collegiate member of the leadership team in driving the growth of LetsGoCover.
Key Responsibilities
* Ownership of P&L, including all budgets, forecasting and management reporting.
* Produce management accounts, board & business reporting.
* Identify and implement appropriate commercial initiatives which will improve Sales & Marketing performance.
* Produce weekly and monthly Sales MI, provide trend analysis and insight for improvement in performance.
* Produce forecasting and capacity plans to ensure resources sufficient to drive profitability.
* Be a true Business Partner to the commercial teams, providing accurate and timely financial analysis of key commercial initiatives providing joint business planning support.
* Develop individual agent and function profitability scorecards.
* Manage provider economics reporting on Market share with recommendations to maximise revenue and cash generation.
* Support Marketing campaign management and forecasting to establish best allocation of marketing spend, further investment, and optimum conversion and profitability per channel.
* Provide commercially sound financial analysis for ad hoc projects, including cost effectiveness, commercial viability, operational capability and financial audit/controls.
* Daily bookkeeping and banking, weekly commission reconciliation of payments, clawbacks and trail revenue streams.
* Monthly generation of bonus packs and self-employed earnings statements & Monthly preparing and submitting of payroll and pensions.

* Deep understanding of the commercial drivers for a protection sales and marketing business.
* Well versed in financial reporting.

* Understanding of developing digital strategies for growth.
* Understanding of regulated advice businesses.
Education and Qualifications:
* Educated to degree level / relevant Professional accountancy qualifications.
