Catering Assistants
Part-time and full-time, permanent, 11.5 - 35.75 hours per week
Salary - £22,308 per annum pro rata (£12 per hour)
Locations - Tumbles at Portobello and Edinburgh International Climbing Arena: Ratho
We are looking for friendly, positive, and enthusiastic multitaskers to join our Café team. This hands-on, front-of-the-house role is perfect for a vibrant, outgoing person with a proactive attitude who can create a welcoming and fun environment for all customers.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing a range of simple meals, hot & cold drinks, and serving all customers efficiently and with a friendly attitude.
- Keeping the café and kitchen areas clean and welcoming by clearing tables, recycling food items, and ensuring overall cleanliness.
- Replenishing and monitoring stock items.
- Handling card transactions accurately, ensuring all sales are processed smoothly.
- Participating in regular training sessions to keep your skills and knowledge up to date.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene certificate and barista training
- Previous hospitality experience demonstrating exceptional customer service.
- Experience in basic food preparation and food assembly to comply with Food Safety & HACPP.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to engage and connect with a varied customer base.
