You will be joining an established contractor based in Nottingham operating across the energy and utilities industries. This multi-accredited contractor has a strong pipeline of work and boasts an impressive list of high-profile clients. They have an excellent reputation in the civil engineering industry and offer excellent promotion prospects. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
This is a full-time permanent position based in their Nottingham office with the option for flexible working.
Your new role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
* Leading all commercial aspects of assigned projects from pre-construction to final account
* Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and contractual obligations
* Providing accurate cost reporting, forecasting and budgeting
* Attending client meetings and liaising with stakeholders to ensure project alignment
* Preparing and managing interim valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
* Monitoring variations/change control and ensuring appropriate commercial recovery.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:
* Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
* Strong background in civil engineering, ideally in the energy or utilities industries
* Working knowledge of NEC contracts
* Excellent commercial acumen and understanding of cost/value management
* Full UK driving licence.
