Role Overview : As an EBD Children Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in helping children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) navigate daily challenges. You will work directly with children to provide emotional and behavioural support, implement care plans, and contribute to the overall well-being of each child. Key Responsibilities : Provide individual support to children with EBD, helping them manage and regulate their emotions and behaviours. Create and maintain positive relationships with children, encouraging development and social skills. Assist in implementing personalized care and behavioural management plans. Support children in educational activities, ensuring their needs are met within the classroom or school environment. Monitor and track progress, documenting observations and reporting back to senior staff or parents. Collaborate with other professionals, including teachers, psychologists, and social workers. Promote a safe and supportive environment where each child feels valued and respected. Attend training and meetings as required. Essential Qualifications and Skills : Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with EBD, autism, or other special educational needs (SEN). Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and emotional support strategies. Ability to remain calm, patient, and empathetic in challenging situations. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A positive and proactive attitude with a passion for supporting vulnerable children. Desirable : Experience in a school or residential setting. Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures. First Aid and/or other relevant certifications. Why Join Us?
