£25,521.60 FT(£12,760.80 pro rata)
20 hours per week
FTC of 12 months and reviewable for another 6 months after
Post is to cover whilst staff is on secondment for university study.
Cambian Meeko House is a 16 bedded children’s residential home catering for 12 – 18-year-olds with on-going mental health needs and challenging behaviours that may prevent them from functioning within the community without continued support.

The posts will require someone with previous experience of working in CAMHS settings preferably with experience of working with children who are Looked After.

Job Role
We are seeking academically strong candidates to support and enhance the psychological care of children and young people within Cambian Healthcare by assisting qualified psychologists in the delivery and evaluation of evidence-based interventions that meet Cambian Healthcare objectives, national strategic and policy guidelines, commissioner requirements and user and carer needs and expectations. The role involves the administration, scoring and report writing of psychometric assessments, standardised risk assessments, clinical formulation, support/consultation to staff and individual and group interventions.
Full induction training is given. You will also learn from some of the most dedicated and inspirational people in our profession and just like our young people and Service Users, you will be learning all the time through our on-going mentoring and support. Clinical supervision is an important part of the development and additional training will be supported.
Candidate Profile
You will be a strong team player, confident, motivated and well organised. You will have a good understanding of the role of therapeutic boundaries and the importance of evidence-based interventions. Patience and commitment are essential, but above all you’ll be someone with a genuine desire to help others. We are looking for someone with a good degree in Psychology and preferably previous experience within an Assistant Psychologist role. ( via a University, BPS accredited)
