Here at P&O Ferries we are seeking a Seasonal Customer Operations Agent to join our team here in Dover on a fixed term basis.
This is an opportunity to work as part of the Port Operations team helping to ensure that we process freight and passenger traffic, providing a high standard of customer service.
The successful candidate will have a proven record in customer service with excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills. The role is based in Dover Port.
Key responsibilities and duties:
* To process freight and passenger vehicles, foot passengers and groups, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
* To collate and check all documentation in line with statutory authority requirements.
* To process cash transactions, receiving payment by cash and credit/debit card. To account for all sales transactions, cash floats and reconciliations.
* To assist with the loading and unloading of Company vessels including the direction of traffic.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Customer service and customer experience skills
* Excellent problem-solving abilities
* Attention to detail and organisational skills
* Effective communication skills
Desirable:
* Previous experience in a customer service role
* Knowledge of port / ferry operations
Location: Dover, this role operates 24/7 working days, nights and weekends.
