Job Description
What’s the purpose of role:
The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that established policies and procedures are adhered to within the Glasgow Facility, with focus on food safety and health and safety. This includes undertaking and facilitating mandatory checks, driving continuous improvement in all areas of Compliance and acting as the local compliance contact.
Who you’ll deal with:
* Internal Stakeholders: Operations, support functions and other internal stakeholders
* External Stakeholders: Authorities, customers, providers, suppliers and other external stakeholders

What you’ll be doing:
* Analysing audit and other results and highlighting trends to identify risks and enable informed and effective decision making
* Communicate to, advise and support all stakeholders, making sure that the dissemination of information is appropriate, factual and timely
* Conducting food safety and health and safety audits to ascertain if the facility and associated colleagues are operating in accordance with applicable contractual requirements, laws and regulations
* Supporting the nominated security person with related tasks and documentation
* Liaising with customers on all aspects of the program, including the investigation and resolution of high-risk accidents, complaints and incidents, ensuring proactive problem solving
* Managing audit non-conformance and corrective action processes and procedures and producing related reports for all stakeholders
* Managing food recall processes and procedures
* Managing food safety complaint handling processes and procedures
* Managing internal and regulatory changes for immediate introduction
* Managing temperature verification processes and procedures
* Managing the introduction of food safety and health and safety policies, procedures and systems
* Managing the introduction of initiatives and projects
* Producing regular food safety, health and safety and security reports for all stakeholders
* Providing technical advice, support and direction to providers and suppliers on food safety, health and safety and security
* Managing the compliance training matrix
* Managing the Compliance Technician
* Periodic weekend work will be required as part of a roster

What you’ll have:
* A background in the introduction of food safety and health and safety policies, procedures and systems
* A flexible can-do approach to completing initiatives and projects
* A food safety diploma or bachelor’s degree
* A health and safety management certificate
* An excellent understanding of food safety and health and safety regulation
* An understanding of customer needs, and the ability to meet internal and external expectations
* Commitment to, promotion and demonstration of proposing improvements on strategies, policies and procedures, and managing change successfully with a positive impact
* Excellent attention to detail
* Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
* Excellent computer skills
* Experience with managing and conducting food safety and health and safety audits
* Experience with producing and presenting reports
* The ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders
* The ability to drive the attainment of organisational results and continue to do so under pressure
