About the role:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality learning experiences across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will work closely with teachers, covering classes when needed, supporting planning and delivering lessons, and leading small group interventions. You’ll also assist in assessing and tracking the progress of pupils, working with a variety of students, including those with special educational needs. This is a full-time, long-term role, ideal for someone with experience as an HLTA or a Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in their career.
You will be an essential part of a collaborative and innovative teaching team, making a real difference in the educational outcomes of young learners.
Application Requirements:
• HLTA qualification or equivalent. • Proven experience working in a primary school setting (Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2). • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Ability to engage and inspire students. • Passion for education and supporting young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting teachers in delivering high-quality lessons. • Leading small group interventions and catch-up sessions. • Covering classes across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 when needed. • Assisting in planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities. • Monitoring and assessing pupils’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents. • Supporting pupils with varying educational needs, including those with SEN.
