A Vacancy at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
We are seeking a Band 6 Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our therapy team.
This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week.
The successful candidate will be required to participate in the therapy seven-day working rota, approximately once every six weeks (1:6 frequency), with compensatory rest days the following week. They will also be part of the on-call service.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience working with paediatric patients and will play a key role in the multi-disciplinary team, providing physiotherapy to both inpatients and outpatients.
We offer training opportunities to support the development of specialist skills in line with your PDR, as well as leadership training and access to externally funded courses.
The post holder will have a varied caseload.
The Trust have a large Cystic Fibrosis population who are seen regularly as part of planned admissions and in regular outpatient clinics.
The paediatric team also cover complex respiratory patients, surgical patients, orthopaedics, general medical, neurology as well as cover for the SCBU unit and Bayley clinics.
The team have good links with our local Community Therapy service, Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Brompton specifically regarding the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) caseload. There are regular joint/ shared care clinics with the Brompton CF Team.

The successful candidate should be confident in managing respiratory patients with complex long-term needs, including those with Cystic Fibrosis.
Applicants must demonstrate confidence in working within a small team of Physiotherapy staff and be willing to collaborate on service provision while providing cover for the wider therapy team.
Additionally, the post holder will play a role in supporting the service training programme, contributing to the development of staff competence in managing children with respiratory needs.
