He can walk with the help of staff but is a falls risk. He is 2:1 for personal care and when out in the community. Alan will grab staff by their aprons, hair etc so MAPA training is a must. Alan loves to get out and about to people watch, enjoys swimming and trips to the beach. Alan is on a SALT plan but still enjoys his favourite foods. AW has dysphagia, epilepsy and osteoporosis but most importantly he has a smile that will light up a room. Josephine is a 65 year old lady that has dysphagia and turner syndrome. She loves helping in service and will help to do PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) count and carry files back to where they belong. Josephine will talk your ears off about Elvis and loves cats. Sharon is a 52 year old lady that has epilepsy which causes her to have Clonic-Tonic seizures She loves her music, wordsearches and trips out and especially enjoys a kebab every Friday with triple garlic sauce. She is currently learning life skills as she would like to live in her own place one day. Sharon is going to cookery and has a singing group in the works. Sharon will get close to staff and grab arms so MAPA is a must. She likes to go at her own pace and can't handle being told too much information or told what is happening too far in advance. Sharons likes to have a cuppa watching her soaps every night. Vivien is a 64 year old lady who is a Falls risk, in the past she has fractured her neck and collar bone. Vivien has epilepsy, osteopenia and diabetes mellitus type 2. Vivien leads a very active social life from going to cookery, visiting her three sisters and helping staff with the weekly shopping. Vivien has to be reminded to slow down when walking and to go to the toilet. Our home is a four-bedroom bungalow with a guest bedroom that staff use. We each have our own personal space but we love being together as a family watching a movie or going out. There is a big kitchen that we love to cook in but we wanted to make changes in this area to make it better for us. We have two bathrooms which wet rooms, one with a bath and one with a shower. Our sitting room has a dinning area attached where we will all sit together to eat our meals or have our house meetings which involve many cups of tea and coffee. We have a beautiful conservatory that we love to do activities in such as jigsaws, art and craft, pamper times or just to relax. At the front of our home, we have a large area just for any visitors or staff to park in. At the front and the back of the house we have planted flowers and have a shed that contains our summer chairs. We do have a service car that will take us anywhere, but we love to walk and will also get the metro to Newcastle Each day we have 4 staff on shift, 1 LDS, 2x 8-8 and 1 x 9-6. Ideally, we would love drivers but that is not a must. All training will be provided on Dare to Learn, our training platform as well as inhouse training. If you’re ready to help us live our best lives possible, you could be part of our team.
