Job Summary
Learning DNA is looking for an innovative Educational Psychologist to run and manage their clinical services in assessment.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing psychological services, particularly with children and individuals with a range of SpLD needs such as dyslexia, processing difficulties, and other challenges.
This role involves conducting assessments (both in person and remotely), developing therapeutic plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions to support client outcomes.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for children and individuals with a range of learning difficulties.
2. Use your experience and assessment data to establish what difficulties each client is experiencing, which are the most prominent, and why.
3. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on individual needs in line with our company service offering.
4. Hold meetings with clients and children in sensitive ways that promote the best outcomes.
5. Collaborate with our multidisciplinary in-house team of Occupational Therapists, ADHD Nurses, and Clinical Psychologists to support the educational needs of children.
6. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
7. Work closely with families to provide guidance and support throughout the therapeutic process.
8. Manage the clinical process from start to finish, monitor assessment validity, develop new psychologists in the company, and oversee the entire assessment programme.
Requirements
1. A Doctorate in Psychology or equivalent qualification.
2. Experience working with children and young people and their parents.
3. Strong background in clinical research is an advantage with an open mind to evolving scientific research.
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
5. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
6. Commitment to patient care and ethical practice in psychology.
7. Previous experience in special education settings is beneficial but not mandatory.
