We have been specialists in the field of 1-1 tuition support for over 15 years, working directly with mainstream and SEN schools as well as 8 education authorities. This is expanding rapidly, specifically within the Halton area.
We are looking to build upon our current bank of approximately 70 1-1 Tutors that we have expanded over the last 15 years. Our dedicated Tutors currently support students on a 1-1 basis in local libraries, children’s centres, schools, and at times, students' homes (if deemed suitable).
Currently, we have a high demand for 1-1 Tutors who can deliver English across various key stages, KS2 to KS4. We are also looking for Tutors who can offer any of the core subjects, i.e., Maths, English, and Science (all key stages/subjects are not essential). Most students are KS3+, but some may be working at a lower ability.
Sessions are held throughout the school day, approximately from 9.30 am to 3 pm, and we offer lots of flexibility with timings and timetables.
Many of the young people we support on a 1-1 basis have mild to moderate SEMH issues and various reasons for not attending school. Many are disengaged, having not attended school for some time, and may display challenging behaviour or have certain emotional barriers to learning. As a result, we are seeking nurturing Tutors with a patient, flexible, and non-judgmental approach.
This can be a very rewarding role and suits professional and dedicated Tutors who are seeking a part or full timetable to possibly work around another job, childcare, studies, or simply prefer to teach with more flexibility on a 1-1 basis.
Sessions are usually 1-2 hours per student, and we can offer you as little or as many hours as you wish!
