Job Role: Financial Accountant
Starting Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
Working hours are 08:00-17:00, Monday to Friday, with 30 minutes unpaid lunch and 2x 10 minute paid breaks.
Location: Leicester (LE5)

My Leicester based client is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team. The ideal Financial Accountant will be responsible for all accounts related duties for the business.

Job Role:
Your key responsibilities as a Financial Accountant, which are not exhaustive and not limited to include:
1. Payroll, VAT and HMRC tasks.
2. Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers.
3. Maintaining internal financial accounting, monitoring and reporting.
4. Reporting monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries.
5. Preparing and presenting statutory accounts, budgeting and forecasting reports.
6. Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports.
7. Reporting on factors influencing business performance and potential risks.
8. Analysing market trends to maximise profits and find expansion opportunities.
9. Advising on ways to reduce costs.
10. Assisting in the audit process of current systems with external auditors.
11. Maintaining financial details to ensure legal requirements are met.
12. Maintaining relationships with Auditors, Solicitors, Bankers and Statutory Organisations.
13. Driving the continuous improvement of accounting practices.

21. The ability to monitor and interpret cash flows with a view to predicting future trends.
