Job Title: Consultant – Offshore Renewables
Location: London or Southampton
Who are we recruiting for?
We are seeking a Qualified and Motivated Consultant to join a leading independent consultancy providing specialist services in marine and offshore technical projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to offshore renewables and decommissioning, ensuring the safe and successful execution of marine operations. The selected candidate will provide expert oversight and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
What will you be doing?
* Reviewing marine procedures, method statements, and engineering documents.
* Attending on-site (onshore and offshore) to witness and approve operations.
* Managing Marine Warranty Survey (MWS) projects, including commercial and technical aspects.
* Providing expert advice for consultancy services, including feasibility studies and engineering projects.
* Supporting marine incident investigations, legal cases, and contractual disputes.
* Engaging in knowledge exchange with colleagues and external expert groups.
* Ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
* Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
* Monitoring project progress, identifying potential risks, implementing corrective actions, and sharing lessons learned.
* Assisting with client development, marketing, and tendering to generate new business opportunities.
Are you the ideal candidate?
* Professional qualifications in a marine or engineering discipline.
* Experience in Offshore Renewable Energy; Oil and Gas sector experience will also be considered.
* Proven track record of managing complex marine projects, ideally with Marine Warranty Surveying experience.
* Membership with SOMWS or working towards it.
* Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
* Enthusiastic, motivated, and driven to provide top-quality service.
* Proactive attitude with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
* Detail-oriented approach with the ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
* Willingness to travel to project sites and offshore locations as required.
