Job Title: Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Care
Location: Cannock, Staffordshire
Salary: Entry salary £50,000
Working Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week
Service: Children’s Home
Number of Beds: 3-bed complex care home
Qualifications Required: Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care (essential); Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (preferred)
Experience in Years: At least 2 years in residential care of children, with 1 year in a supervisory role in the last 5 years
Employment Type: Permanent
Service Users: Many of the Children & Young People this provider supports have a learning disability, Autism, epilepsy and/or can display some associated behaviours. Many of the children (not all) are non-verbal or have limited communication and will communicate with the team through different methods such as picture boards, Smartbox devices and Makaton.

The ideal candidate will be organised, compassionate, and ready to ensure the highest standards of care are provided, with a trauma-informed approach to supporting children with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties.

Essential Requirements and Experience:
* Minimum 2 years in residential childcare, with 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years
* Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care; Level 5 preferred or to be obtained within 6 months
* Comprehensive knowledge of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements
* Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage resources effectively
