Job Title: Project Engineer
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Design and develop radar systems at a system-level.
* Supervise and assist with radar development trials and customer demonstrations.
* Implement and deliver completed solutions.
* Work hands-on with radars and supporting systems as required.
Candidates should have some experience in systems engineering, preferably with a degree or equivalent qualification in a numerate subject. Recent graduates who have completed a sandwich course or year in industry will also be considered.
We are looking for someone capable of working independently but also appreciates the importance of collaboration and effective communication with other engineers and end-users.
Training on radars and systems will be provided, with opportunities for hands-on experience.
**Requirements:
* Able to design, develop, analyse and think at a system level.
* Experienced in creating and maintaining system diagrams and documentation.
* Familiarity with formal system requirements.
* Understanding of multiple engineering disciplines.
* Knowledge of project management practices and methods.
* Hands-on experience with various system hardware and software.
* Experience in a customer-facing role.
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
The successful candidate will also possess SOME of the following:
* Experience of radar systems.
* Background in aerospace systems, sensors, security or ISTAR/C4ISR/ESM domains.
* Education or experience in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computing platforms (Linux, Windows, etc).
* Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Hands-on assembly and working skills.
**Location:
South of Cambridge in a semi-rural location.
This role requires occasional travel, therefore a driver's licence is beneficial.
Occasional requirement to travel to customer sites in the UK and overseas.
**Salary:** $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
