Berkshire Healthcare are seeking organised and motivated candidates for MSK Physiotherapy Clinical Specialist roles based at West Berkshire Community Hospital or Bath Road (Reading) We have 2 x 1 Year part time posts available (30/31 hours) and these will be offered as a fixed term contract for external candidates or a secondment (with potential to progress to a substantive role) for internal candidates.
We receive a wide variety of referrals from GP surgeries, orthopaedic clinics and from the Trusts Specialist Spinal/Pain Service and MSK Community Specialist Service. You will be accountable for the clinical leadership and supervision of an excellent clinical team ranging from Bands 3 – 6 as well as being involved in the development of our rehabilitation pathways. You will also work closely with our team leads and Advanced Practice Physiotherapists (APPs) within Berkshire Healthcare to deliver a first class and seamless service to our patients.
This role requires a dynamic and enthusiastic person with excellent communication skills, who has experience of collaborative working. You should have a broad range of musculoskeletal outpatient postgraduate experience as a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist and should also be able to demonstrate an advanced level of clinical skill and reasoning.

1. To provide the clinical leadership for the MSK Physiotherapy Team

3. To work with the Team Lead to co-ordinate the overall management of the service
4. To work collaboratively with the Integrated Pain and Spinal Service and MSK Community Specialist Service to provide seamless and effective care

The “must haves” for you to be considered for this role:
18. To work as a clinical specialist practitioner to provide a high quality, responsive outpatient physiotherapy service for adults & children with musculoskeletal & orthopaedic conditions
19. To provide a high standard of physiotherapy assessment, treatment and caseload management
20. To be responsible for the supervision and education of Band 5 and 6 physiotherapists, technical instructors, work experience students and physiotherapy students.
21. To take the lead on driving forward the clinical development of the service.
